2002 Emmy Winners

The big show has come and gone, and there were lots of surprises, pleasant and not so pleasant.  If you read my Emmy predictions, you probably noticed I was about 50% accurate.  The weird thing was that the 50% was all down gender lines (except in the movie categories.)  I was very happy to be wrong about the Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.  I shouted so loud with excitement when Michael Chiklis won that I'm surprised someone didn't call the cops!  I haven't shouted that loud since I found out he was nominated!  Otherwise, I was disappointed that "The West Wing" won Best Drama Series.  This was their weakest year and I don't think they deserved it.  Even Aaron Sorkin thought "Six Feet Under" was going to win!  Anyway, here are the winners in the major categories and some quick stats:
