2006 February Sweeps February 12 Listings

(Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone)

6 PM:

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” (ABC; ends at 7 PM)-Part 1 of 2.

“60 Minutes” (CBS; ends at 7 PM)

“Winter Olympics” (NBC; ends at 10:30 PM)-Alpine skiing; short track speed skating; ski jumping; snowboarding; luge.

“Malcolm in the Middle” (FOX; ends at 6:30 PM)-Lois visits the doctor and finds out she has mono...and then gives it to Malcolm when her maternal instincts kick in.  The two are forced to spend day and night together, holed up in the same room.  Meanwhile, with Lois out of commission, the neighbors invite Hal to all of their parties because they think Lois is a drag.

7 PM:

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” (ABC; ends at 8 PM)-Part 2 of 2.

“Charmed” (WB; ends at 8 PM)

“Celebrity Fit Club 3” (VH1; ends at 8 PM)-The players compete in a 10-mile bike race, during which Bizarre has an asthma attack.

8 PM:

“Desperate Housewives” (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-Tom tries hard to bond with his new boss, Karl makes Susan an offer she cannot refuse, Bree does some sneaky sleuthing at Betty's house, and Gabrielle sets her house in order.

The Sum of All Fears (CBS; ends at 10:30 PM)-2002 Tom Clancy action movie starring Ben Affleck and Morgan Freeman.

“#1 Single” (E!; ends at 8:30 PM)-Lisa gets guides to help her in the dating world.

“Flavor of Love” (VH1; ends at 9 PM)-Brigitte Nielsen gives the contestants lie-detector tests and takes them out on the town.

9 PM:

“Grey’s Anatomy” (ABC; ends at 10 PM)-Despite the best efforts of the Seattle Grace staff, the code black situation escalates.  Guest starring Christina Ricci as Hannah and Kyle Chandler as Dylan Young.  When did this show become like FOX's “24?”  Last week's post-Superbowl episode was exciting.  You could tell it was a Sweeps episode when it started with Meredith, Izzy, and Christine naked in the shower together, and it ended with several characters in peril.  I wish all of the episodes were this thrilling!

12 AM:

“Boondocks” (Adult Swim; ends at 12:30 AM)-Riley wants to kidnap Oprah Winfrey, and Huey must try to stop him.

1 AM:

“Moral Orel” (Adult Swim; ends at 1:15 AM)-Orel gets a big head when he learns that God is everywhere, even in him.

2 AM:
