2006 February Sweeps February 13 Listings

(Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone)

7 PM:

“Winter Olympics” (NBC; ends at 10:30 PM)-Figure skating: pairs free skate; snowboarding: women's halfpipe; speed skating: men's 500m.

“Skating with Celebrities” (FOX; ends at 8 PM)-The fourth team is eliminated, leaving just two pairs standing.  Dave Coulier and Nancy Kerrigan left last week, and that leaves me with no one to root for.  I guess I will root for Team Jillian Barbarie now.

“One on One” (UPN; ends at 7:30 PM)-Breanna and Arnaz learn they are complete opposites after taking a compatibility test on Valentine's Day; Sara launches a dating service.

“7th Heaven” (WB; ends at 8 PM)-Simon grows frustrated when Rose informs him that she does not want to marry in his father's church, or in any church for that matter.  Kevin organizes a Valentine's Day dinner at the hotel where he and Lucy were engaged and invites Eric, Annie, Simon, and Rose to join them, but neglects to tell Lucy.  Lucy shows up in a sexy outfit and is shocked to see that her family is there.  Annie tries to make peace with Rose and ends up confusing Rose about Simon's relationship with Sandy.  Ruthie volunteers to help an elderly neighbor who has spent her life pining away for a man that got away, causing Ruthie to evaluate her obsession with Martin.

7:30 PM:

“All of Us” (UPN; ends at 8 PM)-Believing that his relationship with Andrea is not exclusive, Robert accepts a date with attractive segment producer Michele.  Meanwhile, fearing that Bobby isn't her baby anymore, Neesee decides to get involved with some of the “boy” things he likes to do and ends up on a fishing trip with Bobby and Dirk.

8 PM:

“The Bachelor 8: Paris” (ABC; ends at 10 PM)-Two-hour episode.  It's down to three...and dates in Venice (with Moana), Vienna (Sarah S.). and the French Alps (Susan.)  One woman bares her soul, another her fangs.  Also: reflections on overnight dates from past participants Aaron Buerge, Andrew Firestone, Shannon Oliver, and Trish Schneider; and updates on “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” couples Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter, Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado, and Charlie O'Connell and Sarah Brice.

“24” (FOX; ends at 9 PM)-Now that agent Jack Bauer has exposed and interrogated the administration’s link to the terrorists, President Logan reinstates him to CTU on a provisional basis.  Meanwhile, First Lady Martha Logan grapples with the positioning that her husband and advisors are planning to take to explain the horrific events unfolding.  With few leads, CTU operatives and Agent Bauer attempt to keep the military grade nerve gas, Sentox, from taking innocent lives.  I can't believe that Kim (Elisha Cuthbert) is coming back!  Maybe she will be eaten by a mountain lion.

“Girlfriends” (UPN; ends at 8:30 PM)

“Related” (WB; ends at 9 PM)-Ginnie is devastated when her doctor informs her that pregnancy complications will prevent her from attending her father's wedding to Renee, but Bob devises a plan to keep the family together.  Anne encourages her ex-boyfriend, Danny, to come to the wedding even though she is taking Marco as her date, and Marjee is furious that Renee's son (guest star Peter Paige) ruined the sister's surprise wedding gift by announcing his gift first.  Meanwhile, Rose and Alex decide to ignore a strict drama school policy and audition to be movie extras in a local production.

8:30 PM:

“Courting Alex” (CBS; ends at 9 PM)-Julian is peeved at Alex who has become absentminded about her plans with him since she started seeing Scott.  Alex tries to make things right with Julian but he won't even take her calls after she forgets to meet him for brunch and then flakes on her promise to score him a table at a fancy restaurant.  Meanwhile, Scott can't wait for them to reconcile when Alex makes him watch a silly reality show with her that she used to watch with Julian.

“Half & Half” (UPN; ends at 9 PM)

“There & Back” (MTV; ends at 9 PM)-Ashley and Tiffany adjust to life after their son, Lyric, is born.

Watching/Recording Suggestions:

At 7 PM, watch “One on One”/“All of Us;” record “Skating with Celebrities” on TiVo and “7th Heaven” on VCR 1.  At 8 PM, watch “The Bachelor 8: Paris;” record “24” on TiVo, “Related” on VCR 1, and “Courting Alex” on VCR 2.  At 9 PM, watch the rest of “The Bachelor 8: Paris.”  Watch “There & Back” when it repeats throughout the week on MTV.
