2007 February Sweeps February 13 Listings

7 PM:

NCIS (CBS; ends at 8 PM)

Dateline NBC (NBC; ends at 8 PM)-Part 1 of 2.

American Idol 6 (FOX; ends at 8 PM)-Contestants chosen from around the nation endure a grueling rehearsal schedule and pressure-packed auditions as they vie for a coveted spot among the Top 24.  Who will survive and who will go home?

The Gilmore Girls (CW; ends at 8 PM)-Two days after his by-pass surgery, Richard is on the road to recovery, and Rory returns to Yale, where she finds that Richard's economics class is now being taught by an attractive young professor, Tucker Culbertson (guest star Cameron Bender), who flusters Rory with his charm.  While Lorelai tries to distract herself from the issues in her marriage, she and Sookie focus on planning a funeral for one of Michel's beloved dogs.  Finally, Christopher returns ready to talk, and he and Lorelai discuss the main problem that has haunted their marriage...Lorelai's feelings for Luke.

8 PM:

Primetime Special (ABC; ends at 9 PM)

The Unit (CBS; ends at 9 PM)-Jonas and his crew, on a mission to protect a Middle Eastern dignitary at the United Nations, must diffuse a bomb found in the office of the U.N. secretary general.  Meanwhile, Molly and Tiffy visit Vietnam for a ceremony to honor those who fought there.  While there, they try to locate a onetime POW.  Their search is prompted by a visit from the man's mother, who believes her missing son is still alive.  Back at home, Crystal tries to seduce Mack and threatens to tell Tiffy about them.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC; ends at 9 PM)

House (FOX; ends at 9 PM)-It’s Valentine’s Day at Princeton-Plainsboro and the E.R. is short-staffed due to a snowstorm.  House encounters Foreman’s latest patient, Hannah (guest star Mika Boorem), who has sustained injuries from a car accident with her mother, Abby (guest star Jenny Robertson.)  House notices that despite her best efforts to act injured, Hannah is not feeling a bit of pain.  House determines that Hannah has an incredibly rare condition that makes her completely insensitive to pain, and he takes a special interest in her case.  He orders further testing to see if Hannah has any serious injuries from the car accident that she may not be able to feel, including an unnecessary procedure that causes Cuddy and Wilson to question his motives.  Meanwhile, Abby undergoes surgery for her own injuries sustained in the car accident.  Hannah refuses further examination and demands to see her mother, but House has little sympathy.  She and House argue about which of their lives is worse, Hannah who is impervious to pain or House who suffers from pain constantly.  When Hannah passes out and her temperature spikes, the doctors realize that Hannah is much sicker than they had thought.  The team takes drastic measures in an attempt to inflict pain on Hannah to measure her pain threshold, but her condition only worsens.  House adamantly pushes for a spinal nerve biopsy that could leave her paralyzed, a risky procedure in which few see the benefit, especially Cuddy and Wilson, who accuse House of pushing the test to get information that may benefit his own pain management.  As Hannah’s body deteriorates without her so much as flinching, House works through his own chronic pain to find out why this young woman cannot feel any pain at all.

Veronica Mars (CW; ends at 9 PM)-No sooner has Wallace rejoined the Hearst basketball team, when the basketball coach, Tom Barry (guest star Matt McKenzie), is found dead.  The coach's widow, Kathleen Barry (guest star Tracey Needham), hires Keith to investigate the murder of her husband and to clear her son, Josh (guest star Jonathan Chase), who is Sheriff Lamb's prime suspect.  Logan is wallowing in self-pity after his breakup with Veronica, so Dick invites two girls over to cheer Logan up, but Logan gets stuck entertaining Heather (guest star Juliette Goglia), who is only 13 years old.  Keith and Veronica discover that the alibis given by Mindy O'Dell (guest star Jamie Ray Newman, "E-Ring") and Professor Landry (guest star Patrick Fabian, "Joan of Arcadia") do not match.

The Real Housewives of Orange County (Bravo; ends at 9 PM)-Lauri, George, and their brood travel to Hawaii for some rest and relaxation.  Back in the O.C., the overly social Jo celebrates her birthday, neglecting Slade, who in turn goes out with the guys...and gals.  Shane meets a girl on the Internet and welcomes her into his home; and Lindsey gets her driver's license.

The Bad Girls Club (Oxygen; ends at 8:30 PM)-When Ty departs, a lonely Leslie ponders leaving as well.

8:30 PM:

The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency (Oxygen; ends at 9:30 PM)-New timeslot.  One female model ventures ever closer to getting axed.  Meanwhile, a star male model might become the target of Janice's wrath over his relationship with a new client.

9 PM:

Boston Legal (ABC; ends at 10 PM)-Alan once again defends Denny, who has been arrested, this time for illegally shipping human fat out of the country to create a new source of fuel production.  Meanwhile, Clarence Bell must put on a brave face as he tries his first case...a homicide...with the help of Bethany Horowitz and Paul Lewiston, and a member of Crane Poole & Schmidt bids farewell.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC; ends at 9 PM)-Mob lawyer Sidney Truex (guest star Cary Elwes, The Princess Bride) and his wife are brutally attacked, leaving his young son emotionally scarred.  When the Detectives have to locate the Truexs' daughter, Charlotte (guest star Emily VanCamp, "Everwood"), to notify her about the attack on her parents, Detectives Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler find Charlotte at her boyfriend Ryan's (guest star Justin Klosky) apartment.  Through an exhaustive interview process, the Detectives must sort through the web of lies Charlotte has told in order to piece together a night of drinking and drugs leaving Charlotte unable to recall details of the evening.  However, her father comes out of surgery and is able to vividly remember his daughter at the crime scene.  The disturbing case takes another turn as Stabler is brought up on charges of excessive force after getting into a very serious altercation with Ryan.

11 PM:

Dirt (FX; ends at 12:04 AM)-The fallout from the Jack Dawson story rattles DirtNow, but it rattles Leo a lot more.  Fallout from the murdered-cheerleader story rattles Willa, but she finds an ally in Brent.  Elsewhere, Lucy finds a rehab center for Julia; and Don takes up with another woman (guest star Tara Summers)...and, he adds, "I'm 99 percent sure this one's real."  "Access Hollywood" anchors Tony Potts and Shaun Robinson play themselves.
