2007 February Sweeps February 18 Listings

6 PM:

America's Funniest Home Videos (ABC; ends at 7 PM)

60 Minutes (CBS; ends at 7 PM)

Deal or No Deal (NBC; ends at 7 PM)

Reba (CW; ends at 7 PM)-In the first half-hour of the finale, Cheyenne and Van confirm Reba's worst nightmare...that she is becoming their own version of Barbra Jean, dropping by their new house unannounced.  Also, when Barbra Jean has a meltdown in the middle of her weather report, Brock interprets her emotions as a sign that she isn't ready to give up on their marriage.

6:30 PM:

Reba (CW; ends at 7 PM)-Series finale; second new episode.  In the second half-hour of the finale, Van accidentally starts a fire at his and Cheyenne's new house, forcing them to temporarily move back in with Reba.  Realizing they may not be ready for such a big responsibility, they ask Reba if they can stay with her, but she surprises everyone by turning them down.  Barbra Jean seriously considers accepting a job offer from a station in Arkansas, so it's left to Reba to get her to turn down the offer and stay with her family where she belongs.

7 PM:

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC; ends at 8 PM)

The Amazing Race 11: All-Stars (CBS; ends at 8 PM)-Season premiere.  Eleven former teams return to compete in a Race around the world in the 11th installment of the four-time Emmy Award-winning series hosted by Phil Keoghan.  The show will reunite some of the most memorable, entertaining, and controversial Teams from previous seasons who will travel more than 45,000 miles, spanning five continents in 28 days, with stops in such locations as Argentina, Mozambique, and Chile, to name a few.  These former teams will pair up for one final trek around the globe as they battle the best of the best in a Race to the Finish Line for their second attempt at the million dollar prize.  The race begins in Miami, Fla. when Teams begin jockeying for available flights to the first destination, Quito, Ecuador.  Once there, Teams climb to an elevation of 11,040 feet during a four-hour ride through the rugged terrain of the Andes Mountain en route to their first Detour.  The All-Stars' physical stamina is tested immediately as Teams struggle to complete the Detour that will require several Racers to get up close and personal with one hundred wild horses.

Grease: You’re the One That I Want (NBC; ends at 8 PM)-The top 12 contestants become the top 10 as one Danny and one Sandy are eliminated in this episode.  The remaining 10 contestants will twist and shout in front of the judges, who will give them feedback, before America votes to determine who will move on to the next live performance episode.  Three-time Grammy winner Jon Secada, who also played Danny in the last revival of Grease on Broadway, will be the guest judge.

The Simpsons (FOX; ends at 7:30 PM)-An eccentric documentary filmmaker named Declan Desmond (guest voice Eric Idle) offers an inside look at his work chronicling the growth and development of some of Springfield’s “finest” for his documentary, “Growing up Springfield.”  We see Marge put her photojournalism dreams on hold in order to support Homer as he tries out odd jobs in search of success that continually evades him until a strange invention turns it all around for the couple.  However, a suspicious Desmond challenges the Simpsons, who have a lot of questions to answer about their overnight success.

7th Heaven (CW; ends at 8 PM)-When Ruthie starts acting suspiciously, Eric and Annie realize she must be hiding something from them.  Lucy finds out about Ruthie's tattoo, but won't say anything to her parents because she's been a hiding a tattoo from them as well.

The Dresden Files (Sci-Fi Channel; ends at 8 PM)-Demonic forces compel Dresden to help a woman on behalf of her betrothed.

The Surreal Life: Fame Games (VH1; ends at 8 PM)-The teams take the Hooker Challenge, a game in which they select 15 ladies from a pool of 60 to enter their VIP section.  Twenty of the 60 women are prostitutes, and the team with the fewest number of call girls wins.

7:30 PM:

King of the Hill (FOX; ends at 8 PM)-Last episode before hiatus.  When the guys discuss what they want to pass on to their children, Bill becomes despondent because he doesn’t have any children.  In an effort to cheer him up, they help Bill put together a Dauterive family reunion, only to be thwarted by the realization that Bill only has one living relative.  Bill winds up sharing an incredible barbeque with his neighbors and teaches Bobby the secret sauce recipe.

8 PM:

Desperate Housewives (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-All of Wisteria Lane gathers at Pizzeria Scavo for the grand opening event, a resident meets an untimely fate, and surprise marriage proposals are in the air.

Cold Case (CBS; ends at 9 PM)-When an accidental fire is found to have been caused by a bomb, Lilly and the team re-open the 1981 case involving the murder of a yuppie couple.  As the case takes shape, Lilly discovers that the yuppie couple, Jack (guest star Jamie Bamber) and Johanna (guest star Kelly Overton), was hosting a college reunion for their tight-knit group of friends the weekend they were killed.  As Lilly digs deeper, she uncovers the friends' ties to a '70s radical activist group and a secret from their past that drove the circle of friends apart, a secret so devastating it led to the murder of two of their own.  Original songs by multiple Grammy Award winner and living legend Bob Dylan will be featured throughout the episode.

The Apprentice: Los Angeles (NBC; ends at 9 PM)-Right on the heels of Valentine's Day, romance blossoms for two contestants.  This week's task for the thirteen remaining candidates is to put on a promotional event for the internet-based travel service Priceline in a southern California mall.  After the task is over, two candidates spark a love connection in the mansion pool.  Later, the winners get private surfing lessons in Malibu from two professional surfers, while the losers face Trump in the boardroom.  Donald Trump Jr. will observe the competition this week and advise his father in the boardroom.

Family Guy (FOX; ends at 8:30 PM)-When a bully begins to harass Chris, Peter goes to his defense, but the kid is so annoying that Peter beats him up.  This is so satisfying that Peter realizes bullying is fun and begins to bully everyone in the house.  Finally, Chris stands up to Peter and beats him senseless.  Meanwhile, Stewie goes out without sunscreen and becomes obsessed with getting a tan.  After Brian accidentally leaves him in the tanning booth for six hours, Stewie gets sunburned and fears he has cancer.  While waiting for the results of his cancer screening, Stewie begins to live his life as if he had only days to live and drives Brian crazy with his demands.

Battlestar Galactica (Sci-Fi Channel; ends at 9 PM)-Rescue efforts are made to save two crew members on the wrong side of an airlock onboard Galactica.

Hogan Knows Best (VH1; ends at 8:30 PM)-Hulk must decide whether he wants to come out of retirement after WWE chief Vince McMahon offers to promote Brooke in exchange for Hulk returning to the ring.

8:30 PM:

American Dad (FOX; ends at 9 PM)-Last episode before hiatus.  While researching a paper about George Washington Carver in celebration of Black History Month, Steve uncovers a conspiracy that’s been going on since the Civil War.  When the curator of the Smithsonian Peanut Museum reaches out to tell Steve the truth, he's mysteriously murdered, and Steve and Stan are tracked by a secret society that will stop at nothing to keep this scandalous secret of American history.

Shooting Sizemore (VH1; ends at 9 PM)-Season finale.  Tom moves in with a friend to save money.  Later, Tom lands a film gig and gets invited to an Emmy party.

9 PM:

Brothers & Sisters (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-Some intel from the office staff may sway Kitty's vote about her future with Senator McCallister.  Meanwhile, Sarah and Joe dive further into therapy (guest starring Joel Gray as Dr. Jude Bar-Shalom), and Tommy has a chance encounter with a distant relative that will change everything for the Walker family.

Without a Trace (CBS; ends at 10 PM)-Jack and the team search for a water plant foreman who disappears hours after his life is threatened by a long-time employee who became enraged when the young foreman laid him off.  Asserting his innocence in the missing Jason Turner's (guest star Nathan Baesel) disappearance, the newly laid-off Earl Dooley (guest star Brent Jennings) tells the agents that Jason gained many enemies during the recent wide-spread lay-offs at the plant.  The team also learns that Jason was trying to reconcile with his former fiancée, which leads them to wonder if Jason might have found trouble by getting between his ex-fiancée and a possible new man in her life.  Meanwhile, Elena continues to have custody-related problems with her daughter's father, Carlos, who is irate at discovering that his old friend Danny is involved with Elena.  John Aylward ("E.R.") guest stars as the father of the missing foreman.

Crossing Jordan (NBC; ends at 10 PM)

I’m with Rolling Stone (MTV; ends at 9:30 PM)-Colin and Pete cover Lollapalooza, and executive editor Joe Levy gives the writers midterm reviews.

12:45 AM:

Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! (Adult Swim; ends at 1 AM)-Sketches, prank phone calls, and fake commercials make up this mostly live action show.

1 AM:

Saul of the Mole Men (Adult Swim; ends at 1:15 AM)-Mole Man Bertrum tries to usurp his ailing father; Saul, Johnny, and Robot infiltrate the Mole Man Village in hopes of contacting STRATA.

Watching/Recording Suggestions:
