2007 February Sweeps February 6 Listings

(Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone)

7 PM:

NCIS (CBS; ends at 8 PM)

Dateline NBC (NBC; ends at 8 PM)

American Idol 6 (FOX; ends at 8 PM)-More wacky auditions, this time from San Antonio.

The Gilmore Girls (CW; ends at 8 PM)-In the hospital waiting room, Lorelai, Rory, and Emily anxiously await word on Richard's condition.  When Logan hears what is happening, he borrows a helicopter to be by Rory's side, but Lorelai is unable to reach Christopher, who is still angry over their fight the night before.   Upset by Emily's attempt to remain calm by dealing with her social calendar, Lorelai is relieved when Luke shows up unannounced and volunteers to run errands for Emily.  Christopher finally arrives to be with Lorelai, but the scene at the hospital is more than he can take.

8 PM:

Primetime Special (ABC; ends at 9 PM)

The Unit (CBS; ends at 9 PM)-Jonas takes command of a South Korean submarine in an attempt to pick up a North Korean scientist who is defecting.  Bob oversees the mission from the base, but the plan is placed in jeopardy when Kim reveals a dream she had that is eerily similar to the mission.  Ryan learns of the dream and believes Bob told Kim about the plan.  Ryan threatens to fire Bob and abort the mission.  Meanwhile, on the sub, Jonas deals with the captain who refuses to follow orders.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC; ends at 9 PM)

House (FOX; ends at 9 PM)-Sixteen-year-old Stevie Lipa (guest star Jake Richardson) is admitted to Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital with a serious respiratory condition and internal bleeding.  Oddities of his case land him under House and the team’s care, but at the moment, House is irritated to learn that new hospital researcher Dr. Julie Whitmer (guest star Wendy Makkena) has been assigned his handicapped parking spot by the hospital entrance.  Since she’s in a motorized wheelchair (and he has to walk), he asks her to give up the parking spot, but she refuses.  House, determined to get a parking spot closer to the hospital entrance, appeals to Cuddy, who dares him to prove how much he wants the spot by spending one week in a wheelchair...a bet House takes on.  As the team tries to get personal history information from Stevie, they can’t seem to get a straight answer out of him, and it’s revealed he’s from a family of gypsies.  Stevie’s parents, Franklin (guest star Rob Brownstein) and Judy (guest star Arabella Field), arrive with homeopathic remedies; they won’t consent to House and the team’s suggested course of action, and refuse all modern medical treatment.  As Stevie’s body continues to bleed internally, Foreman makes the risky decision to sidestep Stevie’s parents and appeals directly to the teenage patient, putting his medical license on the line while asking Stevie to lie to his parents.

Veronica Mars (CW; ends at 9 PM)-Veronica is hired by Bonnie (guest star Carlee Avers, "Commander in Chief"), a promiscuous classmate, to find out who secretly slipped her the morning after pill, causing her to have a miscarriage.  The investigation leads her to the office of Bonnie's boyfriend, Tim Foyle (guest star James Jordan, "Without A Trace"), and while searching his computer, Veronica discovers Tim has uncovered a witness to Dean O'Dell's death.  Together, Keith and Veronica visit Bonnie's father, a well-known televangelist, Reverend Capistrano (guest star Chris Ellis, "Ghost Whisperer.")  Veronica confronts Logan about sleeping with Madison Sinclair (guest star Amanda Noret, "7th Heaven") while they were broken up.

The Real Housewives of Orange County (Bravo; ends at 9 PM)-Jo approaches Jeana for advice about her bumpy romance with Slade.  In other developments, four of the women attend a home-and-garden expo together; Lauri and her troubled son have a frank, important discussion; and Tammy's insubordinate daughter tries to reconnect with her family.

The Bad Girls Club (Oxygen; ends at 8:30 PM)-Ty and Leslie engage in a boozy night out and return home to a mightily irked Aimee.  Later, bad blood boils between Ty and Aimee, who make waves during a beach excursion.  Elsewhere, being home alone gives Jodie and Zara an opportunity to lay bare their sexy and silly sides.

9 PM:

Boston Legal (ABC; ends at 10 PM)-Alan Shore, Denny Crane, and Bethany Horowitz are hired to represent a judge who is suing a company for not delivering on its promise to cure him of his homosexuality.  Meanwhile, Shirley Schmidt takes on a case involving the use of a controversial new drug that can dull traumatic memories, and Denise is shocked to discover she's pregnant...but doesn't know whether the father is Brad Chase or Jeffrey Coho.

The Unit (CBS; ends at 10 PM)-Special new episode.  The Unit is assigned to slip into Iran to plant radiation "sniffers," but when things go awry, Mack must decide whether to leave behind an Iranian woman who served as their loyal guide to be tortured, or mercy kill her himself.  Meanwhile, back at home a wounded Jeremy has Molly at his bedside while his strangely absent girlfriend Crystal is steaming things up with one of the married men of the Unit.  Her own affair long over, and fulfilling hours of community service at a free legal clinic, Tiffy clashes with lawyer Wilson James over a case of a soldier gone AWOL.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC; ends at 9 PM)-When a photograph in an anonymous envelope leads Detectives Fin and Munch to the apartment building that houses a crime scene, the investigation reveals the building supervisor has spent a lot of time with the boy in the picture, and he falls under suspicion.  The case takes a physical toll on Detective Olivia Benson, the victim (guest star Marquis Rodriguez), and the boy's mother (guest star Karen Olivio) when they all appear to have similar medical issues.  Their symptoms all appear to point to the same origin which unearth a corporate conspiracy and cover-up.  Former wrestling champion Bill Goldberg guest-stars as Cupid, a roughneck who tears the SVU headquarters apart.

Campus Ladies (Oxygen; ends at 9:30 PM)-Season finale.  Joan and Barri desperately need to pass an all-important math exam, so they enlist a Korean transfer student to tutor them.  In return, the ladies teach their coach about America.  Elsewhere, the campus is menaced by a serial flasher.

11 PM:

Dirt (FX; ends at 12:02 AM)-Lucy assigns her onetime mentor (guest star Paul Reubens) to help Willa probe the murder of a teenage girl in a small California town.  Meanwhile, Holt and Lucy's mounting attraction for each other comes to a boil, while Julia sinks deeper into drugs...and into the arms of Garbo (guest star Carly Pope.)
