2007 February Sweeps February 7 Listings

(Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone)

7 PM:

George Lopez (ABC; ends at 7:30 PM)-The Lopez house becomes too crowded for comfort when niece Veronica (guest star Aimee Garcia) and her boyfriend, Mike (guest star Jason Connery), move in.

Friday Night Lights (NBC; ends at 8 PM)-After their first thrilling victory in the playoffs, the Panthers feel invincible...until Mac makes racial statements that test the team’s bond.  Tim and Billy adjust to having their father back in their lives while Tami worries about Julie’s new friendship with Tyra.  The game everyone is preparing for this time doesn’t include the Dillon Panthers as the girls take the reigns in a game of Powderpuff football.  With Julie as QB and Tyra as linebacker, all bets are off.

Bones (FOX; ends at 8 PM)-After Booth maliciously shoots a clown ornament on an ice cream truck, his gun is taken away and he’s forced to meet with an FBI psychiatrist to prove he’s mentally stable in order to get his gun back.  That leaves Brennan headed to Florida on her own to investigate the death of a young college student whose body is found inside that of a dead alligator.  Since Booth is out of commission for the time being, her FBI counterpart on the case is Agent Tim Sullivan (guest star Eddie McClintock, “Desperate Housewives.”)  Although he’s easygoing, the two of them have communication problems and stylistic differences from the start and Brennan looks forward to when Booth will return to work.  The alligator is shipped back to the Jeffersonian and the team determines the identity of the victim is young college student Judy Sloan, who disappeared several weeks before.  As the Jeffersonian team works to unravel the circumstances surrounding the girl’s death, Brennan finds she’s more charmed by Sullivan than she cares to admit.  Meanwhile, Booth has several meetings with FBI psychiatrist Dr. Gordon Wyatt (guest star Stephen Fry), an Englishman with a unique approach to the situation who conducts their “sessions” in his backyard and assigns an unorthodox project to Booth, while surreptitiously getting him to talk about the potential reasons for his attack on the clown.

Beauty and the Geek 3 (CW; ends at 8 PM)-The teams visit a farm for a challenge that involves milking cows and baling hay; a couple's romance falters.

7:30 PM:

The Knights of Prosperity (ABC; ends at 8 PM)-The jubilant Knights finally enter Mick Jagger's apartment by "disarming" an on-duty Rockefeller, but...as usual...find trouble when, in their excitement, they rip off their ski masks too soon, just in time for the security cameras to record their faces.  Confronting possible arrest, the gang devises a plan to hack into Burton's main computer hard drive to erase their images with help from a surprise visitor...Gary's estranged son, Ajay (guest star Jacob Kiron Shalov.)

8 PM:

Lost (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-Recap special.  A recap of the series prior to the resumption of its third season.  Included: a look at how life on the island has changed and shaped the characters, as well as a review of their back stories.  Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse host.

Criminal Minds (CBS; ends at 9 PM)-Hotchner, Gideon, and the team watches in horror Reid is tortured in front of their eyes as a sadistic serial killer who broadcasts the entire ordeal over the internet to the stunned agents.  Using what strength he has left, Reid has to figure out a way to communicate with his team in order to help them rescue him before it's too late.  James van der Beek ("Dawson's Creek") guest stars as a troubled young man who is the focus of the BAU's investigation.

Deal or No Deal (NBC; ends at 9 PM)

American Idol 6 (FOX; ends at 9 PM)-The rest of the best auditions from around the country.  Finally, maybe we'll get to the real show!

One Tree Hill (CW; ends at 9 PM)-A class assignment reveals the deepest secrets and desires of Lucas and the students at Tree Hill High.  Worried about college prospects, Skills turns to Haley, while Nathan wrestles with Deb's suicide attempt.  Chase (guest star Stephen Colletti, "Laguna Beach") learns that Brooke cheated on her calculus exam, while nudity and drugs run rampant in the halls of the school.

Top Design (Bravo; ends at 9 PM)-The interior designers are tasked to create a bedroom for individual clients, but the challenge comes with big...and tiny...twists.

The Real World: Denver (MTV; ends at 8:30 PM)-Alex brings Stacy to the house, and Colie's lingering feelings for him erupt.

TV Land Myths & Legends (TV Land; ends at 8:30 PM)-Included: the death of "Mama" Cass Elliot; Victoria Principal's phone number divulged by Joan Rivers on late-night TV; the death of TV "Superman" George Reeves.

9 PM:

Lost (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-Winter season premiere.  On the operating table, Ben's life is in Jack's hands, but the doc's gambit to free Kate and Sawyer hits a geographical snag.  Still, the runaways elude Danny and the other guards, with the help of unlikely allies.  Flashbacks follow Juliet's medical career, which has a very personal component to it.

C.S.I.: NY (CBS; ends at 10 PM)-While investigating the death of a college student found dead in a Queens park, Mac, Sheldon, and Det. Flack discover a secret college society that may have been behind the victim's murder.  One of Mac's key witnesses in the investigation of the murder of a college student turns out to be his stepson Reed (guest star Kyle Gallner), who knew the victim.  The team learns that the student was a writer for the college newspaper who may have uncovered details that certain people on campus would kill to keep secret.  Meanwhile, Stella, Det. Angell (guest star Emmanuelle Vaugier), and Danny face one of their toughest hunts yet, when a security guard is murdered in the dressing room of a high end store and their top suspect is Ava Brandt (current Grammy Award nominee Nelly Furtado), an ingenious master of disguise and a world-class personal shoplifter whose job is to fulfill her clients' wish list of the latest must-have items and whose chameleon ways allow her to stay one step ahead of the law.

Medium (NBC; ends at 10 PM)-Skeptical Texas Ranger Kenneth Push (returning guest star Arliss Howard) comes back into Allison’s life after, in a surprising turn of events, he begins to experience dreams of a shocking murder in Phoenix.  Also, Joe suffers an embarrassing moment after telling a white lie.
