2006 May Sweeps May 13 Listings
(Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone)
NASCAR Racing: Nextel Cup: Dodge Charger 500 (FOX; ends at 9 PM)
“NBA Nation” (ABC; ends at 6:15 PM)
NBA Basketball: Eastern Conference Semifinal (ABC; ends at 9 PM)
“Dateline NBC” (NBC; ends at 8 PM)
“48 Hours Mystery” (CBS; ends at 10 PM)
“Mad TV” (FOX; ends at 11:30 PM)-Ike Barinholtz and Bobby Lee head to the racetrack and get a lesson from legendary NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, who takes the boys for a ride they’ll never forget. Meanwhile, “Randy Jackson” (Nicole Randall Johnson) gives a commencement speech that is very judgmental.
“Saturday Night Live” (NBC; ends at 12:05 AM)-Julia Louis-Dreyfus hosts. Paul Simon performs. Louis-Dreyfus is the 22nd former cast member to host the show, and the first female to do so. Despite her tenure on the show, she'll probably do some "Seinfeld" jokes, despite the fact that she is promoting CBS's "The New Adventures of Old Christine." This is Paul Simon's thirteenth appearance on the show as a host or musical guest, an "SNL" record for musicians. He is promoting his new Brian Eno-produced album Surprise.
At 10:30 PM, record “Mad TV” on TiVo. At 10:35 PM, watch “Saturday Night Live.”
