Film industry lobbyist Jack Valenti, who during his four decades as president of the Motion Picture Association of America installed the current film-rating system, championed creative freedom, and fiercely opposed movie piracy, died Thursday of complications from a stroke he suffered last month. He was 85.

Milla Jovovich is expecting her first child with fiancé Paul Anderson, the actress' rep confirmed exclusively to E! Online Planet Gossip columnist Marc Malkin. The baby is due this fall.

Sienna Miller is replacing Lindsay Lohan in the upcoming film The Best Time of Our Lives, based on the story of two women's rivalry over the poet Dylan Thomas. Miller plays Thomas' wife, Caitlin MacNamara, while Keira Knightley stars as his childhood friend, Vera Phillips. Lohan reportedly dropped out of the project after she was unable to reach a deal with the film's financiers, per Daily Variety. The film is set to begin shooting in Wales early next month.

Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina, has settled a lawsuit filed by two Las Vegas promoters who accused her of reneging on a deal to let them be her daughter's music managers. The settlement negated a hearing scheduled for Monday meant to determine whether Lindsay and her attorneys should be assessed up to $4,450 in sanctions for failing to show up to a deposition in the civil suit.

America Ferrera is reportedly in reluctant negotiations to star in a follow-up to 2005's The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, after the film's producer exercised its sequel option on the actress and her costars, per the Hollywood Reporter. The "Ugly Betty" star was said to have been eyeing a leading role in An Invisible Sign of My Own, an upcoming drama being produced by Salma Hayek's new Ventanazul label.

British Airways reportedly cut a scene featuring Virgin Atlantic chief Richard Branson from its in-flight version of Casino Royale, and editing shots showing a tail fin of a Virgin plane. Branson has a cameo role in the film as an airport security screener.

Eric Bana crashed his 1974 Ford XB Coupe into some trees Saturday during the Targa Tasmania rally in Australia Saturday, but walking away from the crash unharmed. The car, which Bana has owned since he was 15, was too badly damaged to continue the final day of racing Sunday.

Alec Baldwin has left Creative Artists Agency after five years and parting ways with his longtime agents Matt DelPiano and Michael Rosenfeld, a CAA spokesperson confirmed to the Los Angeles Times. The actor's publicist said the move was "strictly for personal reasons." Meanwhile, during the requisite stop on "The View" for Alec Baldwin's burgeoning tour of contrition, the "30 Rock" star said he knows "the guy that's responsible" for leaking the expletive-laden voicemail he left for 11-year-old daughter Ireland, but refused to give a name.

Kim Basinger has denied through her rep that she leaked Alec Baldwin's angry voicemail to their daughter, Ireland, in which he called the 11-year-old a "rude, thoughtless little pig," but confirmed that she had hired extra security to protect the child during this time of added scrutiny. The actress stated that she was hopeful her ex-husband would "finally address his unstable and irrational behavior so he, at some point, can potentially create a relationship with his daughter."

In spite of Eddie Murphy's apparent unwillingness to accept paternity, Mel B named her baby girl Angel Iris Murphy Brown. "Angel, as she was my little angel through my pregnancy. Iris, as it's my grandma's name, Murphy, because he's the dad and Brown, because I'm the mum!" the former Spice Girl explained in a statement. The baby was born Apr. 3 in Santa Monica, California.

Sylvester Stallone provided medical documents to Australian customs after being charged with importing 48 vials of banned human growth hormone, his attorney told a Sydney court on Tuesday. The contents of the documents were not revealed and Stallone, who has not yet entered a plea, did not attend the hearing. If convicted, he could face a maximum fine of $91,000.

Sony is denying that pirated DVD copies of Spider-Man 3 are selling for a buck on the streets of Beijing, explaining that it's Spider-Man 2 that's been on the block, tucked into Spider-Man 3 boxes. Meanwhile, online ticket sellers are reporting that U.S. moviegoers are buying tickets at three times the rate they did the franchise's previous installment.

A woman suspected of stalking Sandra Bullock allegedly attacked the actress' husband, Jesse James, after he discovered her lying in front of their garage on Sunday, police said. The woman reportedly climbed into her car and tried to plow James down three or four times before driving away, leaving him unharmed. Police spotted the woman near the couple's home again on Monday and arrested her on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Former Army Sergeant Josh Bruhns has been selected to be the subject of a pro-troops TV spot directed by Oliver Stone that criticizes the Bush administration's leadership on the war in Iraq. The commercial is slated to begin airing next week.

Hugh Grant was arrested and questioned by London police Wednesday after a paparazzo accused the actor of attacking him with a tub of baked beans. Grant was bailed and ordered to return to the police station next month. Meanwhile, Grant has accepted undisclosed libel damages from the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday over stories published in February alleging that his relationship with British socialite Jemima Khan ended after he carried out a weeklong flirtation with a film exec, attempted to sponsor a chimpanzee as a wedding gift to ex Elizabeth Hurley, and refused to do publicity for his upcoming films.

An Indian court has issued a warrant for Richard Gere's arrest for kissing Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty at a public event after a Jaipur resident filed a complaint against the actor for committing an "obscene act." If found guilty of PDA, Gere could serve up to three months in jail and pay a fine. Meanwhile, Gere defended the public smooch he planted on Shetty at an AIDS awareness rally in New Delhi last week...which resulted in a complaint filed against the actor and an arrest warrant issued in his name...called the lip-smack "nothing" on "The Daily Show" and said the assembled crowd was actually "climbing on their trucks [cheering]."
