Sharon Stone has accepted an apology and "substantial" undisclosed libel damages from Britain's Daily Mail after the paper published a story last July alleging that Stone left her four-year-old son in a car outside a restaurant for two hours while having dinner with a "mystery male companion." The actress' lawyer called the allegations completely untrue and said that Stone actually dined with her son on the night in question.

Actress Jan Maxwell has exited the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Entertaining Mr. Sloane, after complaining about the bad behavior of her costar, Alec Baldwin. In an email published by the New York Post, Maxwell complained that Baldwin had put his fist through a wall and was "throwing things around with all of us cowering."

Chanel has selected Keira Knightley to replace Kate Moss as the new face of its Coco Mademoiselle fragrance. Knightley is due to start appearing in ads in 2007, the company said Wednesday.

A former spa worker has filed a complaint with a British employment tribunal, accusing Kevin Costner of exposing himself and carrying out a sex act while she gave him a massage at the Old Course Hotel in Fife, Scotland, in October 2004. The woman has since agreed to settle her claim out of court. As for Costner's take on the matter at hand, his rep told reporters the incident "was never about Kevin Costner."

A spokesman for Chris Rock has confirmed that the comedian once hired celebrity private eye Anthony Pellicano to investigate model Monika Zsibrita, who claimed she was carrying his child. Pellicano has been accused of using his connections with a police detective to run an illegal background check on Zsibrita in June 1999, a charge to which he has pleaded innocent. A judge sealed the results of the paternity case, leaving Rock's paternity status a mystery.

A musical version of Reese Witherspoon's film, Legally Blonde, will open on Broadway in April 2007, it was announced Tuesday. No casting has yet been announced.

Silent Hill topped the box office in its opening weekend, grossing an estimated $20.2 million. Last week’s champ, Scary Movie 4, finished second with an estimated $17 million. The Sentinel came in third with an estimated $14.7 million, and American Dreamz in eighth with an estimated $3.7 million. Friends with Money entered the Top 10 for the first time in its third week in theaters by coming in tenth with an estimated $3.5 million.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have formally requested privacy from the press "so that we can enjoy this beautiful country with our children." Namibian authorities backed the couple up, forcing three French photographers and a photographer from South Africa's Sunday Times to leave the country or face arrest. The unfortunate photographers therefore missed the chance to capture the family's stirring visit to a local KFC and to a pet store, where they purchased a turtle, per the Sunday Times.

Leonardo DiCaprio injured his leg Friday on the set of The Blood Diamond, currently filming in Mozambique. The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Wedding Crashers dominated the nominations for the 2006 MTV Movie Awards with five apiece, including dueling Best Picture nods. The awards will be handed out June 3, with the ceremony airing June 8 on MTV.
