In reality TV news: Rebecca Corry and Kristin Key were send home at the end of the three-way head-to-head competition Tuesday that followed the elimination of Gabriel Iglesias, who was disqualified for violating the show's rules, on NBC's "Last Comic Standing 4." On Wednesday, Chris Pierson, a 25-year-old from Atlanta, GA, was eliminated
on CBS's "Rock Star: Supernova" after being in the bottom three two weeks in a row. Also on Wednesday, Stacey Estrella, a 40-year-old Harvard MBA from San Francisco, CA, was eliminated in the season premiere of Bravo's "Project Runway 3." On Thursday, Alison Irwin, a 25-year-old medical sales rep from Meadville, PA, who originally took second place
in "Big Brother 4," became the first houseguest to be evicted from CBS's "Big Brother 7: All-Stars" house by a vote of 8-2. Comedy Central have set a July 19 air date for "Trapped in the Closet," the Emmy-nominated "South Park" episode poking fun at Tom Cruise and Scientology. The network had reportedly shelved the episode because Cruise was displeased.
A Southern California rock band called Supernova is suing Mark Burnett over his CBS reality show "Rock Star: Supernova," claiming it had the name first. An attorney for Mark Burnett Productions has stated that the company has the legal right to the name and the lawsuit is without merit.
