In reality TV news: Billy Garcia, a 36-year-old heavy metal musician from New York, was voted off CBS's "Survivor: Cook Islands" after the Hispanic Raro tribe threw the immunity challenge simply to give him the boot.

Gabriel Byrne has been tapped to star as a caring therapist with a frazzled personal life in the HBO half-hour drama "In Treatment," based on the Israeli series and book of the same name.

"Grey's Anatomy" kicking off its third season in a brand new timeslot Thursday with no resolution to the McDreamy-Meredith-McVet love triangle, though McDreamy finally fessed up to being in love with Meredith. Overnight ratings showing that the "Grey's Anatomy" season premiere bested its competition, with 25.15 million viewers to "C.S.I.'s" 22 million.

Hulk Hogan sent a video message to the House of Representatives Thursday, urging stricter laws against dog fighting and cockfighting.

In reality TV news: Former Miss USA and drummer Travis Barker's soon-to-be ex-wife Shanna Moakler was eliminated Wednesday on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars 3." Also on Wednesday, Christian Evans, a 19-year-old bank teller from Columbia, SC, became the first wannabe catwalker to get thrown off the runway during the season premiere of the CW's "America's Next Top Model 7." Finally on Wednesday, Jennifer Eisenbarth, a 32-year-old former beauty queen from Shakopee, MN, was the first one eliminated on NBC's "The Biggest Loser 3." She has lost a total of 66 pounds since leaving the ranch.

Bahamian authorities has issued a death certificate for Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel, despite not yet determining his cause of death. The official cause is still pending the results of two separate toxicology tests.

Mel Brooks is repurposing yet another of his old movies, developing "Spaceballs: The Animated Series" for the cable network G4. The first 13 episodes kick off in fall 2007.

Matt LeBlanc is ordered to pay $15,000 a month in child support to his soon-to-be ex-wife, Melissa, who is forgoing spousal support in lieu of a cash payment predetermined by the couple's prenuptial agreement.

HBO has renewed "Entourage" for a fourth, 12-episode season. The final eight episodes of the series' interrupted third season air early next year.

Seth Meyers has officially been tapped as the successor to Tina Fey's fake news throne on "Saturday Night Live." He'll co-anchor "Weekend Update" alongside Amy Poehler when the 32nd season kicks off Sept. 30.

Kathleen "Bird" York, who was nominated for an Oscar for singing the title track to Crash, and Matt Roth, who, having starred in View from the Top, is decidedly not an Oscar nominee, are joining the cast of "Desperate Housewives" as recurring characters, when the third season kicks off Sunday.

Anna Nicole Smith's lawyer, Howard K. Stern told "E! News" exclusively that the first of three toxicology reports on Daniel Smith came back negative for any illegal substances. As expected, Lexapro and Ambien were found in the 20-year-old's system, but not at any levels that could have caused his death. Two remaining toxicology reports have yet to be released.

Thousands attended Steve Irwin's memorial service Wednesday at Australia Zoo. The Crocodile Hunter was remembered by her eight-year-old daughter, Bindi, who called him her "hero" and said she "will miss him every day." Celebrities, including Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Cameron Diaz, and Justin Timberlake, sent video tributes. Meanwhile, famed marine explorer Jean-Michel Cousteau is stating that while he had a "lot of respect" for Steve Irwin, he disagreed with his on-camera tactics. "He would interfere with nature, jump on animals, grab them, hold them and have this very, very spectacular, dramatic way of presenting things...You don't touch nature, you just look at it. And that's why I'm still alive," Cousteau said.

"Saturday Night Live" is parting ways with Horatio Sanz, Chris Parnell, and Finesse Mitchell, NBC confirmed Wednesday. The 32nd season of the show kicks off Sept. 30, with host Dane Cook and musical guest The Killers.

Kate Moss is designing a collection for British fashion chain Topshop, the company announced Wednesday.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker have chosen their 10 favorite episodes of "South Park" for a best-of DVD, "South Park" The Hits: Volume 1, in stores Oct. 3. The DVD includes four bonus episodes, plus a never-released short, "The Spirit of Christmas."

"Entourage" racked up four nominations for the sixth annual High Times Stony Awards, while the Adam Sandler-produced Grandma's Boy earned six nominations. The awards will be handed out Oct. 24 in New York.

Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston, who met when they were contestants on NBC's "The Biggest Loser," tied the night Tuesday in Jamaica, People magazine reports.

Tom Green, who battled testicular cancer on camera, is planning to film an operation on his broken leg for his online talk show, "Tom Green Live."

Will Ferrell's recently launched production company is developing "P.E.," a new comedy series for HBO, per the Hollywood Reporter. The plot focuses on a major league baseball star who flames out and returns to his small Southern hometown to be a gym teacher.

Duane "Dog" Chapman, who was arrested last week as a fugitive from Mexican authorities, has turned the incident into a special episode of his A&E reality show, titled "Dog: The Family Speaks." Chapman is currently free on $300,000 bail while he awaits an extradition hearing set for Nov. 16.

"Dancing with the Stars 3" topped the ratings with 20.2 million viewers, per Nielsen Media Research. Katie Couric is also clinging to her lead with 7.9 million viewers, barely edging out NBC and ABC.

"The Tonight Show" is launching a search for a new national correspondent to conduct man-on-the-street interviews. Viewers with the gift of gab are encouraged to submit tapes for consideration.

In reality TV news: Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Carly Patterson was eliminated Friday on FOX's "Celebrity Duets." On Sunday, Cleveland Muslim best friends Bilal Abdul-Mani, a 37-year-old medical supply technician, and Sa'eed Rudolph, a 39-year-old power lineman; and Windermere, FL married couple Vipul, a 29-year-old who works in sales, and Arti Patel, a 26-year-old nutritional educator, were "Philiminated" in a double elimination on CBS's season premiere of "The Amazing Race 10."

Mariska Hargitay's father, Mickey Hargitay, died Sept. 14, "Access Hollywood" reports. He was 80. "We are so grateful for who he was and is to all of us, and for the love he gave us in our lives. He will continue to be our source of inspiration and strength," the family said in a statement.

USA Network has ordered a second season of "Psych" and a sixth season of "The Dead Zone."

A second pathologist performed an autopsy on Anna Nicole Smith's son, Daniel, stating he could not yet determine a cause of death but ruling out natural causes, including heart disease, stroke, or a "congenital anomaly." He also revealed that the 20-year-old was taking antidepressants at the time of his death. Smith's attorney told reporters that the bereaved mother is "doing well, she is getting better."

A body washed up on a Miami beach where a crew was filming scenes for "C.S.I.: Miami," police said. Just last week, a body was discovered in a Los Angeles building where "C.S.I.: New York" was filming.

Teen actor Pablo Santos, who starred in "Greetings from Tucson," dying in a small plane crash in Central Mexico on Saturday. He was 19.
