In reality TV news: Stephannie Favor, a 35-year-old nursing student from Columbia, SC, became the latest castaway booted off CBS's "Survivor: Cook Islands."

"Ugly Betty" received a full season order from ABC on Friday, based on the strength of its first two weeks' ratings.

Prom magazine has pulled Brooke Hogan off the cover of its annual issue after The Hulk's offspring appeared on the cover of FHM's November issue clad only in a skimpy bikini. Ashley Tisdale will replace Hogan on the cover.

Air America Radio filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, one month after denying rumors that it would do so, per the Associated Press.

Brooke Shields, who appeared in Colgate print ads in the '70s, was rehired by the company to star in toothpaste commercials along with her two daughters, Rowan and Grier.

Duane "Dog" Chapman and his wife, Beth, has signed with talent management agency The Firm for exclusive representation.

Emmy-winning comedy writer Jerry Belson, famed for his work on "The Tracey Ullman Show," "The Odd Couple," and the "Dick Van Dyke Show," among others, died Tuesday of cancer at his home in Los Angeles. He was 68.

In reality TV news: Jerry Springer narrowly missing elimination on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars 3" Wednesday, but Willa Ford got the boot. Meanwhile, Country singer Sara Evans has dropped out of "Dancing" for "personal reasons;" she and her partner had made it into the final six. Also on Wednesday, Megg Morales, an 18-year-old retail clerk from Los Angeles, became the fourth would-be model eliminated from the CW's "America's Next Top Model 7." Finally on Wednesday, Melinda Suttle, a 32-year-old from Huntsville, AL, was eliminated on NBC's "The Biggest Loser 3."

"Charlie's Angels" voice and "Dynasty" star John Forsythe is being treated for colon cancer at a Los Angeles hospital. The 88-year-old actor is said to be in good spirits and hopes to be home by the weekend.

Michael Scott, Anna Nicole Smith's lead attorney in the Bahamas, has withdrawn as her counsel, citing concerns about her conduct (i.e., swapping nonbinding vows with her other attorney before arranging funeral services for her son) and differences of opinion on strategy. Scott told the Associated Press it was "not really an amicable parting."

O.J. Simpson has asked a judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Ron Goldman's father seeking control over any fees the former star receives for public appearances to pay off a civil judgment that found him responsible for the deaths of Goldman and his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson.

Howard K. Stern has been listed as the father of Anna Nicole Smith's newborn daughter on a copy of her Bahamian birth certificate. However, Larry Birkhead, who claims to have had a relationship with Smith, is alleging that he is the father of the child and has filed a paternity suit in California.

In an apparent effort to move past his status as "Hilary Swank's ex-husband, whom she forgot to thank during her Oscar acceptance speech," Chad Lowe is joining the cast of Fox's "24."

Ellen DeGeneres became a virtual seal as part of a new Website that will educate visitors about how they can prevent pollution and help aquatic wildlife.

In reality TV news: Tom Rock, a 39-year-old college admissions director, and Terry Cosentino, a 45-year-old special events director, both boyfriends from New York, were "Philiminated" Sunday on CBS's "The Amazing Race 10."

"Battlestar Galactica" executive producer David Eick is teaming with feature writer Laeta Kalogridis to re-create "The Bionic Woman" for NBC, per Daily Variety.

CBS is reinventing '50s classic "Name That Tune," to be hosted by Donny Osmond, Variety reports.

Police from the Bahamas traveled to California last week to continue the investigation into the death of Anna Nicole Smith's son, Daniel. Officials were retracing the last days of the 20-year-old man's life before he traveled to Nassau to join his mother and new baby sister and died on Sept. 10.

Katie Couric suffered through her worst ratings week to date on "CBS Evening News," averaging only 7.04 million viewers to put her in third place behind NBC's "Nightly News," with 8.56 million, and ABC's "World News," with 7.97 million, per Nielsen Media Research.
